History

Billed as "The World's Smallest Garden" we launched our company with this product on Kickstarter in 2017. We designed it to be a low-cost, easy-to-use introduction to growing herbs at home.

Included in this kit

The kit includes 3 bottle garden inserts, 3 packets of seeds (Lemon Balm, Lemon Basil, and Lime Basil), labels, and clear stickers for coverage.

Not included, but required

A clean bottle (we recommend an old wine bottle), and tap water! We also offer signature Urban Leaf bottles in our shop.

Refunds & Returns

All Urban Leaf products are backed by our Green Thumb Guarantee (we want more than anything to make a successful gardener out of you!) If you are not satisfied with our products, or cannot get them to work, please contact us for a refund or replacement.

Bought a kit for myself, plus a basil kit for friends. The basils (the two in the citrus kit, and the 3 in the basil kit) all sprouted and have grown beautifully! My non-gardener, basil-loving friends are feeling quite proud of their green thumbs! Unfortunately, I can’t for the life of me get the lemon balm to thrive – is there a trick? I sowed seeds two months ago, and a few sprouts popped up, but turned brown and shriveled before they could grow. Added a bunch more seeds about a month ago, and the same thing happened. Maybe the bottle is too full? It’s on a windowsill, in full sun. I bought the bottles from urban leaf, so it’s not the bottle color that’s the issue. I’m sure this is user error, because I am a complete novice urban gardener, but would love some advice. Definitely recommend the basil kit for others though.
